This is the website for the Village Nursery and
Out of School Care Club.

The Village Nursery has been providing childcare
in West Linton, Scottish Borders since September 1994.
West Linton is a conservation village 15 miles south
of Edinburgh (www.westlinton.org.uk).

We provide care for children from two years to five
years old in the nursery with both full and part time
spaces available. Our Out of School Care Club provides
care for children from Primary One up to Primary Seven.

The Village Nursery is working in partnership with Scottish Borders Council (Education and
Lifelong Learning) to provide funded pre-school education for children in their Pre-school year
and the year before the pre-school year. We are registered with and inspected by HM
Inspectorate of Education (www.hmie.gov.uk).

The nursery is fully registered with The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care
(www.carecommission.com) and by the local authority for the area. Our latest inspection report
of October 2007 is also available online. We are members of Scottish Pre-School Play
Association, Scottish Borders Council Child Care Partnership (www.childcareborders.co.uk),
Scottish Borders Out-of-School Care Network (www.sbooscn.btik.com) and the Federation of
Small Businesses.

As a Care Commission Registered Nursery, you can be sure that we maintain the highest
standards of childcare. We have a high ratio of staff to children, enabling staff to give individual
care and attention to every child.

In 2005 we were successful in gaining Investors in People recognition
(www.investorsinpeople.co.uk). This was successfully reviewed and confirmed in April 2008.
